MV Provider’s FAQ

I am interested in starting an MV Project. How do I go about this?

At the moment, no new projects are being started. All MV funding is committed to the projects already established. But, for other ways of getting involved in MV see the next answer.

I run a volunteering project and would like to get the young people who volunteer with us accredited to MV. Is this possible?

It may be possible for you to become a placement provider for one of our MV Projects. Please contact your nearest project for further information on www.vinspired.com.

I have other questions about MV. Where can I go?

If you have any further queries please contact your Grant Officer in the first place. You can also get more information from the MV Project Toolkit.

I am now a teacher but I was involved in the Millenium Volunteer scheme while at University. Is there any way that I can coordinate millenium volunteers from my school? (Laura Donovan, 23)

You need to speak to the local projects who are running MV in your area. You can contact the nearest MV Provider via www.vinspired.com.

Hopefully, you can then work with the MV co–ordinators to set up something in your school.

How long do we need to keep the MV registration forms for, for people who have dropped out of the programme, or who have completed 200 hours? (Josie Brown)

You need to retain records for six years and this applies to registration forms. So they can be destroyed six years after the young people joined MV, regardless of how and when they left the programme.
